Arison Medical Tower
Tel Aviv, Israel
The 16 Story Arison Medical Tower is an addition to the Tel Aviv Medical Center in downtown Tel Aviv, Israel. The scheme was selected in an international design competition. The unique design is a rhomboid shaped floor plan spanning and existing four story building supported on 7 meter deep trusses that span 80 meters. The project houses 550 medical, surgical and intensive care beds. A unique aspect of the design are the central atrium spaces at the core of the facility which provide views across the rooftops of the city to the sea beyond. The top floor houses a medical library and the roof an 80 meter diameter helipad for large military helicopters as the is the prime trauma center in the region.
