GBMC is an addition and renovation project includes a 16 operating room surgical suite, pre & post recovery, 3 intensive care units, three 40 bed monitored medical- surgical units, a 16 LDR birthing center and delivery suite, new cafeteria, dining, and a 950 car parking structure. A new atrium links a new 4 level ICU tower with adjacent step-down telemetry units connected by bridges spanning the atrium. New support spaces include, CSR, materials handling, and kitchen. A key component of this project was the in-place phasing and addition of 16 or rooms. Storm water from the project was used to create a new, certified, Urban Wildlife Habitat on the site.
